This is so good! I came here on a lovely day and got to walk around quite a bit. I was excited to see the menu. They have plenty of good gluten free options. I got the fish and chips and they were so good. The portion was huge and the fish was crispy. The cabbage slaw was good too. The service was good and the person serving me was helpful. I appreciate that. We got to sit outside, but it was summer and the weather was nice and warmish, as warmish as it could be next to the water. But we got a good meal, got some great drinks, and will be back.

This is a unique restaurant in an out of the way location. You will never see it from any road because it's around a hill on a north bay shore. When you do get there it's a really cool place with a big park surrounding it. A local sourced quality ingredient menu with local beers and wines too. See is outdoors on picnic tables that are covered. I recommend going on a nice day. It could be cold. Otherwise if it's windy or foggy. Don't forget and check out the goats on the other side of the park. I guess this is where it gets its name from.

Arrived about 530 on a Saturday. There was a very short line, and a hostess who was working it efficiently and pleasantly. After about 5 minutes she approached us and the couple in line in front of us, telling us all that she had a 'picnic table' opening up, and would we be willing to share? As the tables were fairly large, we said SURE and were seated. The weather was lovely and it was such a pleasure sitting there. My friend and I ordered a glass of wine and the shrimp appetizer. Our young waiter was helpful and friendly. He checked on us a couple times to see if we were ready to order our entrees. I ordered the fish and chips, and my friend got the Margherita pizza. Both were delicious and plentiful. I took almost half of mine home. The area is just as funky and delightful as people said, and Yes- the road is windy and you keep thinking: where the heck are we? Final note: on someone's review they implied that the only bathrooms were porta-potties. Not true. There are a couple 'regular' ones near the floating homes.

Interesting place! Quite a bit of a drive to get out there. We went around 1:30 on a Sunday. Thought it was later than the usually lunchtime rush, but there was a line at the door. I guess, from reviews, that's normal. We waited probably 10 minutes, which wasn't bad considering how many people were in front of us. Our service was a little on the slow side, but the food was decent. My husband got the fish and chips, and I got the margherita pizza. The fish was fine, the fries were great. The pizza was really good. The fish came out probably 10 mins before the pizza, though. My husband was done eating before the pizza even came to the table. At the end of the meal, we had to ask two times for the check--strange, since the second waiter had one of the table-side point-of-service machines in his pocket. I'm not sure why our regular waitress didn't.... Anyway, cute funky little spot. All outdoor seating, so make sure you come when the weather is nice. Parking is all public and kind of crowded, but you can also park along the jetty.

The best hidden gem in the Bay. Have been here a few times and it never disappoints. It almost feels like a visit to the original Hog Island location (atmosphere not food), and much closer and accessible to people in the north and east bay. The owner is super cool too - had a chance to meet him in the parking lot on Father's Day and heard his story. I am glad to see his success and hope it continues. Now for the details: - Get there well before you want to eat. There is always a wait. You put your name and party size down and they will text you. - Enjoy a walk around the marina, and check out the Burning Man style art projects all around. Kids will love the giant crocodile, bumble bee, etc to play on. - there's a nice beach to put your toes in the water or have a dog play around - Food is BOMB. Wood-fired pizzas, organic farm-to-table salads, a great wine list, and yummy cocktails or kombucha - usually a live band there on the weekends and holidays

It was Father's Day when I came to visit this spot. A hidden restaurant but a treasure to be explored! On non-holidays, I'm sure it won't be too busy. Weekends they say are busy but weekdays shouldn't be a hassle. When I went with my family, it was first come first serve although the phone was ringing. Anyways, this restaurant sits by the water. A great spot as boats pass by or dock in. Restrooms are a walking distance along with house boats and parking spaces only for residents. There is plenty of parking infront of the restaurant. This place is dog friendly :) We were seated by the pizza oven where they handmade the pizzas. Quite a sight to see. The Margherita pizza was bland and the cheese wasn't melted. The Portuguese pie was delicious, I enjoyed that one! Fish and chips are one of the popular dishes. The fish fillet was golden brown and soft with the tartar sauce ooo-weee gotta get that! After brunch was finished, you can go take a walk by the coastline. Abandoned train tracks that lead to a trail. A small park for your children to have fun. Their own zoo with goats, though you can't pet the goats only can see. This location was a sight I unlocked, hope to find more out in the bay!

Quick summary: Very good food. The check-in process was confusing. Prices are high and the coffee was not so good. Great spot by the bay though! It took about an hour to get a table at 3pm on a Sunday but it was Mother's Day so that's to be expected. When we checked on our spot in line a couple times, the hostess seemed confused and told us the wrong phone number to receive texts even though we'd received a confirmation at the right number. We ordered the fish and chips, asparagus and lentils, and fish stew. The battered fish was crispy and tender. The asparagus and lentils was over a delicious curry, just a little spicy and layered with flavors. The fish stew was like a spicy chicken tortilla soup with good amounts of fish, mussels, and shrimp. Delicious and comforting. I ordered a cup of coffee and it was weak and not very hot. I asked for a French press instead and the coffee from it was hot and a little richer in flavor but still not great coffee. Skip the coffee and have hot tea or one of their speciality drinks. Service was fine even though they were busy. Live music was a really nice touch. The drive there is a bit long but that's no fault of the restaurant. It's a lovely spot. Just bring a jacket because it can get cold there.

Excellent food and service. I've been here for several business lunch gatherings. Every time it's a great experience. The pizza tastes great. Beverage selection is a little unusual but very good. I do wish they had diet coke. Location makes for a relatively simple but somewhat exciting short road trip, the San Pablo marina. Trust Google maps, it will get you there. But you might wonder where the heck it's taking you. Don't stress out, and be sure to get in that right lane just before the Richmond centerfell bridge, or you will end up driving across the Richmond Centerville bridge. The whole restaurant is outdoor dining, but it's under cover. The cover is almost transparent, so on a super bright sunny day, it definitely behooves you to be wearing sunscreen and a ball cap. The owner could not be nicer.
